Biography: A native Texan, after finishing high school here in Austin, Mr. Blackburn did his undergraduate studies at Trinity University in San Antonio where he obtained degrees in both History and Economics. His undergraduate studies were supplemented with a semester at American University’s prestigious Criminal Justice Program in Washington D.C. where he also clerked for the US Senate’s Judiciary Committee. After college Mr. Blackburn came back to Austin to attend law school at The University of Texas where he was honored with the Presidential Scholarship in Law based on his academic excellence and commitment to the school’s leading law journal. Due to his scholastic achievements in law school Ben was one of a select few who were invited to participate in Golden Gate University’s summer law program on international criminal law in Bangkok, Thailand. Before he even graduated law school he won his first Not Guilty jury verdict and ever since then he has devoted his entire law practice to defending the citizen accused and upholding the rights guaranteed by the constitution. In addition to having a passion for helping his clients with their legal matters Ben also enjoys hunting, fishing, and volunteering his time for community projects.
